How we work

Professionalism, accuracy and respect for deadlines. Three commitments that apply to every file, whoever instructs us.

§ A

Our commitments

These are the standards our clients can hold us to.

01

Professionalism

Qualified surveyors with nautical, engineering and insurance backgrounds. We act independently, keep your information confidential and follow recognised professional practice on every file.

  • Independence checked before each instruction
  • Strict confidentiality of documents and findings
  • Clear, courteous communication with all parties
02

Accuracy

A report is only useful if every fact and figure in it can be checked. We measure, photograph and document before we conclude.

  • Calibrated instruments for soundings and drafts
  • Dated, located photographs for each finding
  • Every report reviewed by a second surveyor
03

Respect for deadlines

In a claim, time limits protect your rights. We commit to fixed response times and tell you at once if a delay is outside our control.

  • Surveyor confirmed within 1 hour
  • Preliminary advice within 24 hours
  • Reserves and notices issued within legal time limits
§ B

Our response times

Fixed times from the moment we receive your instruction. Final report time runs from receipt of all documents.

§ C

Step by step

Each file follows the same sequence, so you always know where it stands.

  1. T01

    Instruction

We record the instruction, check that we have no conflict of interest with the parties, and confirm the scope in writing.

  2. ≤ 1 h2

    Surveyor assigned

A surveyor with the right background is named, and you receive their contact details and estimated time of arrival.

  3. ≤ 24 h3

    Attendance on site

Inspection, measurements, photographs and samples. Interested parties are invited so findings can be made jointly.

  4. ≤ 24 h4

    Preliminary advice

First findings, probable cause and recommended measures to limit the loss, sent within 24 hours of attendance.

  5. 5

    Analysis & costing

Review of documents, laboratory results and repair quotations. Every figure is checked against its source.

  6. ≤ 10 d6

    Final report

Complete report reviewed by a second surveyor before issue, in English or French, within 10 working days of receiving all documents.

  7. 7

    Follow-up

We stay available to answer questions from underwriters, adjusters and lawyers, and to support recovery action.
